our new location at "THE IGUANA" right around the corner from the David Letterman show. Come sing on our great large
stage and state-of-the-art sound system, right in the heart of the theater district.
Shepard & Jourdan’s Nationally Famous Singers Showcase is seeking talent for Gotta Sing,
an open-mike talent search performing every MONDAY, at "THE IGUANA"Cabaret Cafe. Billy Shepard & Judi Jourdan,
prods. & talent bookers. Singers discovered at the open mike are chosen to showcase their talent future cabaret shows
at Shutters Cabaret Cafe and may also be submitted for consideration by record producers and TV,
cruise, and Atlantic City productions. There is no cover charge or entry fee, but there is a $5 food/beverage minimum required.
The public is welcome.
No call or appointment is required for the Open Mic! Just come on down and sign in
to sing!
Producers Shepard & Jourdan are also casting the NYC Singing Idol
$1,000 SING OFF, in search of the new NYC singing idol. To participate in the contest, first attend Shepard & Jourdan’s
weekly Gotta Sing open mike at Upstairs at The Iguana; singers will only be eligible to participate in the $1,000 sing-off
if they are chosen (from the open mike) to participate in one Shepard & Jourdan’s Friday-night cabaret shows. Only
the first 35 singers that are accepted into one of the cabaret shows will be eligible participate in the $1,000 sing-off contest.
There is no entrance fee required to participate in the $1,000 sing-off and there is no cover charge or entry fee for the
MONDAY night Open Mike, but there is a $5 food/beverage minimum on MONDAY'S at "THE IGUANA".
We are seeking—Singers: all types and ages, newcomers and experienced singers, all styles,
including pop, gospel, Broadway, hip-hop jazz, opera, country, singer-songwriters and karaoke singers who wish to go
to a more professional level and appear in a cabaret.
Open mike will be held
every Monday night from 6:00-8:30 p.m. (sign-in begins at 6:00 p.m.) at "THE IGUANA", 240 West 54 St. (btwn. Broadway & Eighth
Avenue), NYC. Pianist provided; or you can bring tracks, be self-accompanied, or sing a capella. For more info, call Shepard
